Erick Alcocer-Cruz, a 25-year-old Hispanic male, was driving his vehicle on July 1, 2000, in Denver, Colorado. As he neared the intersection of East 38th Avenue and High Street, in the 1800 block of East 38th Avenue, an unknown individual or individuals fired a gunshot into his car.
The projectile struck Erick Alcocer-Cruz, causing a fatal wound. He died as a result of the gunshot he sustained in the unprovoked attack.
The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain unclear, and a motive has not been publicly established.
To date, the person or persons responsible for the murder of Erick Alcocer-Cruz have not been identified, and no arrests have been made in connection with the case.
