Erick Alcocer-Cruz, a 25-year-old Hispanic male, was driving his vehicle on July 1, 2000, in Denver, Colorado. As he neared the intersection of East 38th Avenue and High Street, in the 1800 block of East 38th Avenue, an unknown individual or individuals fired a gunshot into his car.
