In the late evening hours of March 4, 2003, Rito Lopez, a 22-year-old male, was asleep in his bed in his Denver, Colorado residence. The tranquility of the night was shattered when multiple suspects forced their way into his home. Once inside, the intruders demanded money from Lopez.
