He was discovered on the sidewalk and, despite being rushed to a nearby hospital, succumbed to his injuries. On the evening of January 16, 2015, a verbal altercation in the 500 block of East Colfax Avenue escalated to a fatal stabbing. During the dispute with several unknown individuals, the young Abdul Muhammad was stabbed. He was transported to a local hospital where he later died from his injuries. Information regarding the specifics of the altercation or what may have led to it has not been made public. Similar to the older man who shared his name, the death of the 22-year-old Abdul Muhammad is also an unsolved homicide. There have been no reports of any arrests made in connection with his stabbing, and no suspects have been publicly identified by the Denver Police Department.
