In the spring of 2006, a violent incident shattered the peace in a Denver neighborhood. On May 30th of that year, police were called to the 3500 block of West Custer Place after reports of gunfire echoed through the area. Upon their arrival, they discovered the body of 41-year-old Javier Aguirre. He was found unresponsive in the doorway of his own home.
