A summer evening in Denver turned tragic for 16-year-old Jorge Garcia-Cervantes, a White male, on July 2, 2006. After leaving a McDonald's with friends, a sense of unease likely set in as they realized they were being pursued by an SUV. The chase ended in a hail of gunfire at West 1st Avenue and Osceola Street, a violent encounter that would cut short the young man's life.
