On a summer evening in Colorado Springs, the life of Michael T. Garcia, a 31-year-old man, was tragically cut short. On July 20, 2014, at approximately 8:19 p.m., police responded to a call of a shooting in an alley in the 2000 block of St. Claire Park. Arriving officers discovered Garcia at the scene, where he had sustained fatal gunshot wounds and succumbed to his injuries.
