In the late hours of a November night in Colorado Springs, a confrontation in a detached garage brought a violent and tragic end to the life of 54-year-old Robert Joseph Carrigan. On November 3, 2015, Carrigan sustained a fatal gunshot wound that the El Paso County Coroner's Office would later rule as a homicide. His life, which an obituary described as a battle with many demons, concluded in a manner his family lamented as 'violent and underserved.'
