In the late hours of a Thursday evening in Colorado Springs, the life of 24-year-old Sheree Barker was tragically cut short. On July 28, 2016, a single gunshot ended the young woman's life in the 900 block of Chapman Drive, near the Pine Creek Village Apartments on the city's southeast side. First responders arrived at the scene to find Barker critically injured. She was rushed to a nearby hospital, but tragically succumbed to her injuries.
