Rene Arredondo, 21, was fatally shot on January 13, 2015, in the Brighton Park neighborhood of Chicago. The incident occurred around 5 p.m. on the 4200 block of South Rockwell Street. Arredondo sustained a gunshot wound to the head and was rushed to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. Another individual was also shot during the incident but survived.
