In the early hours of a Sunday morning in Denver, Colorado, a fatal encounter unfolded that would tragically end the life of 39-year-old Justin Slyter. On July 9, 2017, just after midnight, Slyter was outside a 7-Eleven on Colfax Avenue and Grant Street when he was shot and killed. The incident reportedly began as a confrontation over a stolen wallet.
