On a winter evening in Denver, Colorado, Guillermo Ornelas, a 43-year-old male, was fatally shot on January 5, 2018. The incident occurred outside the New Welcome Inn bar, located at 3759 Chestnut Place in the Five Points neighborhood. Another man, Jose Herrera-Cabral, who was 35 years old, was also killed in the attack. Both men suffered from multiple gunshot wounds, according to the Denver Office of the Medical Examiner.
