In the summer of 1973, the vibrant Denver music scene was silenced for a moment by the tragic death of Louis Sanchez, a talented 29-year-old male singer. Known for his performances with a band at the Chariot Lounge, his life was abruptly and violently cut short on July 14th of that year. His body was discovered in an alley behind the La Bailarina Lounge, located near the intersection of West 9th Avenue and Santa Fe Drive, the victim of a fatal gunshot wound.
