On a cold February night in Aurora, Colorado, a traffic stop escalated into a fatal encounter for Troy Michael Jacques. The 41-year-old man was pulled over by an Aurora police officer on the evening of February 10, 2018. According to police accounts, the situation quickly intensified when Jacques, who was armed with a semiautomatic handgun, pointed the weapon at the officer.
