On the evening of August 13, 2018, in Pueblo, Colorado, a violent encounter cut short the life of 28-year-old Isaac Hughes. Responding to a call just before 8 p.m. in the 1700 block of E. 4th Street, police discovered Hughes unresponsive in the street, having sustained a gunshot wound to the neck. He was rushed to a local hospital in critical condition.
