Franklin Bruner, 46, was shot to death on the night of July 29, 2023, on Berkley Avenue in Pueblo, Colorado. Officers were told around 9:55 p.m. that a person and a dog had been shot; Bruner was found dead at the scene, and his dog was transported to Colorado Springs, where veterinarians determined the injuries were fatal and euthanized the animal. The Pueblo County Coroner later confirmed Bruner’s identity, and public remembrance pages recorded the date and place of his death.
