In the summer of 2020, the life of 32-year-old Charly Danielle Lewis was tragically cut short in Denver, Colorado. On June 7th, she was found in an alley, having been fatally shot. Lewis, a woman known for her adventurous spirit and love for music, was a mother to a nine-year-old daughter. Her unexpected death left her family, including her parents and siblings, grappling with a profound loss.
The investigation into her death soon revealed a chilling connection to another homicide.
Authorities discovered that Charly Lewis had been a witness to a previous murder. This placed her in immense danger, ultimately leading to her own death, as she was targeted to prevent her from testifying.
The primary suspect in her murder was identified as Steven Young. Investigators determined that Young was the perpetrator of the earlier homicide that Lewis had witnessed. To silence her, he sought her out and ended her life. Following an investigation, the Denver District Attorney's office charged Steven Young with first-degree murder in connection with Charly Danielle Lewis's death.
