On September 25, 2021, a tragic shooting occurred outside a Walgreens store located at the intersection of Midway Boulevard and Zuni Street in Broomfield, Colorado. The incident resulted in the death of 19-year-old Javier Garcia Jr. and injured two other individuals, a teenager and an 18-year-old woman, who were taken to the hospital for treatment.
