On a cold February evening in Denver, what began as a night out for 18-year-old Dominic Gonzales ended in a burst of violence that would leave a family shattered and a community searching for answers. The date was February 17, 2007, when at approximately 10:30 p.m., police responded to a call of a shooting in the 4700 block of Beach Court.
