In the early morning hours of January 21, 2022, a grim discovery was made in Colorado Springs. Officers responded to a call for assistance in the 200 block of Nichols Boulevard, where they found the body of a man who had suffered obvious trauma. The man was identified as 42-year-old Brian MacDonald, a resident of Colorado Springs. The nature of his injuries led detectives from the Violent Crimes Section to investigate his death as a homicide.
