In the early evening of May 13, 2022, a tragic and violent incident unfolded at a strip mall in Aurora, Colorado, claiming the lives of two young men. One of the victims was 19-year-old Isaac Lamar Smith Jr., a Black male from Aurora. The shooting took place around 5 p.m. at the Smoke and Vapes store located at 15270 East 6th Avenue, prompting numerous 911 calls to the Aurora Police Department.
