On June 6, 2015, Richard Edwards, a 17-year-old, was fatally shot in Chicago's Bridgeport neighborhood. The incident occurred shortly after 2 a.m. near the 700 block of West 35th Street. Edwards was reportedly shot multiple times, and by the time police arrived on the scene, it was already too late to save him.
