On February 13, 2024, Jermaine W. Harris, 39, was fatally shot in Chicago's North Kenwood neighborhood. Officers responded to a call at 12:43 a.m. and found Harris with a gunshot wound to the head on the 1100 block of East 47th Street. He was transported to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead.

The Cook County medical examiner's office identified the victim as Jermaine W. Harris, a resident of the North Kenwood area. The circumstances surrounding ...
