On the morning of April 9, 2021, 35-year-old Edward Purvis III, a male, was found shot to death in a motel room in northeast Albuquerque, New Mexico. The scene discovered by police hinted at the violent final moments of his life, with evidence in the room including a pillow with defects and another stained with blood.

The investigation into Purvis's death eventually led detectives to 26-year-old Dylan Wolfe. Authorities determined that Wolfe owed Purvis money for drugs and had arranged to ...
