Michael Gallegos, an 18-year-old male from Albuquerque, New Mexico, was fatally shot on April 2, 2025, in the parking lot of the Barelas Community Center. The incident occurred during a reported drug deal. Surveillance footage captured the sequence of events leading up to the shooting, showing Gallegos arriving at the location in a Dodge Charger at approximately 10:52 p.m. Moments later, a man approached the vehicle on foot, and a gunshot was heard.
