Death by Force

On the evening of June 30, 2024, Mariano Salazar, a 17-year-old Hispanic male, was with friends at a downtown Albuquerque parking garage located at 214 2nd St. SW. While standing near an opening on the fourth level, his life was cut tragically short. Witnesses reported that moments before the shooting, some of the teens with Mariano shouted, "There's Ruben," indicating they had spotted someone they knew at street level.
