In the summer of 1983, the life of Adeline McLaughlin, an 84-year-old woman originally from Worcester, Massachusetts, came to a brutal and tragic end. On June 25th, she was discovered deceased in her apartment at a downtown retirement community in St. Petersburg, Florida. The circumstances of her death were violent; she had been sexually assaulted and suffocated with a pillow.
