On the evening of September 4, 1989, a burst of violence shattered the quiet of a Brockton, Massachusetts street corner, leaving one man dead and another seriously wounded. Rolando Barros, a male resident of the city, was standing at the intersection of Wyman Street and Walnut Street at approximately 7:30 P.M. with two other individuals, Jose DeAndrade and Maurice Ware.
