A beloved female nurse's passing in 2009 left a void in the community of Ludlow, Massachusetts. Penha Quiterio, 67, died on March 12, 2009. Born in Santa Fe, Brazil, she had made Ludlow her longtime home and was a dedicated and faithful communicant of St. Mary of the Assumption Church. Remembered as a sweet, hardworking, and caring person, she was a cherished nurse whose kindness and beautiful smile touched the lives of many of her patients and colleagues.
