In the early morning hours of November 18, 2012, the life of 35-year-old Marvin P. Pardo, a Black male, was tragically cut short. Brockton police responded to the Madrid Square condominium complex on Oak Street around 3:33 a.m. to find Pardo in the vestibule of the building where he lived on the first floor. He had sustained gunshot wounds to his head and chest and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Originally from Stoughton, Marvin Pardo was a 1996 graduate of Stoughton High School,
where he had been a star on the basketball team. He was a father to two daughters, Aryana and Odeijah. Certified in computer technology, he was the owner of a business called Virus Removal Services. Pardo was remembered as a beloved son, brother, and friend to many.
The investigation into Marvin Pardo's death began immediately, with Brockton Police searching for the person or persons responsible for the shooting. However, in the days following the incident, no arrests were made, and authorities had not publicly identified any suspects. The case has since remained unsolved, leaving his family and community searching for answers.
