On January 22, 2015, Javon Brown, a 36-year-old resident of Dartmouth, Massachusetts, lost his life to gun violence in New Bedford, Massachusetts. The incident occurred outside the Metro PCS cell phone store, a location that became the scene of the city's first homicide of 2015.
