In the early hours of May 1, 2015, the vibrant atmosphere of Bali's nightclub on Essex Street in Lawrence, Massachusetts, was shattered by violence. Inside the confines of the nightclub's restroom, a dispute turned deadly, leaving one young man dead from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was 21-year-old Joselo "Jose" Campusano, a resident of Lawrence. Police were called to the scene just before 1 a.m. for a report of a fight, only to discover the fatal outcome of the encounter.

Family members remembered Joselo Campusano as a friendly man who was a devoted father to his young daughter and preferred spending his time at home with his loved ones. His cousin described him as a good man, expressing her shock and grief over his violent death in the nightclub's bathroom. The incident prompted a response from the city's mayor, who acknowledged the efforts of the police to curb such violence and noted that the city had been working to be harder on nightclubs where such incidents occur.

The investigation into Campusano's murder quickly identified a suspect. Authorities began searching for a man who they believed followed Campusano into the restroom and shot him before fleeing the club. Initially, the suspect was identified as William Perez. However, it was later revealed that this was an alias for Yssael Lantigua-Alecon, a 34-year-old from nearby Methuen. Lantigua-Alecon has a history of using fraudulent identities and is known to have at least six aliases.

Despite the efforts of the Essex County State Police Detective Unit and the Lawrence Police Department Detective Unit, Yssael Lantigua-Alecon managed to evade capture. An arrest warrant was issued charging him with murder and related firearms offenses. He was last seen fleeing the scene of the crime in his sister's SUV. In November of 2015, his case was elevated to the list of Massachusetts' Most Wanted Fugitives. Law enforcement officials consider him to be armed and dangerous. As of recent reports, Lantigua-Alecon remains a fugitive from justice, and the case of Joselo Campusano's death is still awaiting a final resolution.
