On the evening of August 12, 2015, a burst of gunfire shattered the peace in Cambridge, Massachusetts, leading to the tragic death of 31-year-old Rasaun Nichols, a Black / African American male. Nichols was a passenger in a vehicle that was driving away from the Newtowne Court area, near the intersection of Windsor and Main Streets, at approximately 8:41 p.m. when multiple shots were fired into the car.
