On the evening of January 13, 2018, a burst of gunfire shattered the night in Boston's Back Bay neighborhood. Jamal Bannister, a 25-year-old Black / African American male, was fatally wounded in the incident, which occurred at the intersection of Boylston and Gloucester Streets. Another man, identified in some reports as his brother, was also shot but survived his injuries.
