In the early hours of Sunday, November 18, 2018, the life of 28-year-old Korey Wornum Parker, a Black male from Roxbury, was tragically cut short. Boston police responded to a report of shots fired in the Mattapan neighborhood around 1:58 a.m. Upon their arrival at 10 Westmore Road, officers discovered Wornum Parker suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound. Despite the immediate response, he was pronounced dead at the scene, leaving a community to grapple with the sudden and violent loss.
The investigation into Wornum Parker's death continued for months. Family and friends mourned his passing, remembering him as a beloved figure. The Boston Police Department urged anyone with information to come forward, offering anonymous tip lines in the hopes of piecing together the events of that fatal morning and bringing justice to his family.
