On July 16, 2012, Daniel de Abreu, a 29-year-old man from Boston, Massachusetts, and his friend Safiro Furtado, 28, were fatally shot in a drive-by shooting outside the Cure nightclub in the South End of Boston. The incident occurred after a series of events that began earlier that night.
