On a summer afternoon in Boston, tragedy struck in the neighborhood of Mattapan. On Sunday, June 23, 2019, Corey Thompson, a 25-year-old man, was shot on Duke Street. The incident occurred around 2:00 PM in the vicinity of 3 Duke Street, where police responded to a report of a person shot. Thompson was found at the scene suffering from gunshot wounds.
