On a warm summer evening, Saturday, August 24, 2019, the Warren Street Playground in Lynn, Massachusetts, was filled with the sounds of a community enjoying a youth basketball game. Over a hundred people, including many children, were gathered for the event, and a block party was underway nearby. The lively atmosphere was shattered around 7:30 p.m. when gunfire erupted, sending the crowd running for safety in a state of chaos.
