On the evening of August 11, 2020, a male resident of New Bedford, Massachusetts, 41-year-old Ausarmaat Rahotep, was fatally shot. The incident occurred at approximately 9:51 PM in the vicinity of 139 Dartmouth Street. Responding to reports of a shooting, New Bedford Police officers discovered Rahotep at the scene with multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to St. Luke's Hospital with life-threatening injuries and was pronounced dead at 10:16 PM.
