On December 31, 2021, a tragic incident occurred in Lawrence, Massachusetts, resulting in the death of 22-year-old Jumil Celladiya. The incident took place in the Pearl Street area, where police were dispatched around 5:10 p.m. in response to reports of shots fired. Upon arrival, officers found Celladiya suffering from a gunshot wound in a parking lot near Pearl Avenue.
