In the Dorchester neighborhood of Boston, the life of a 33-year-old Black man, Roosevelt Thornton Jr., was tragically cut short on the afternoon of August 1, 2022. Around 12:06 PM, police responded to a report of a person shot in the area of 215 Norwell Street. Upon arrival, they found Thornton suffering from a gunshot wound.
