Amanda Nicole “Mandy” Middleton was two years old, a little girl whose short life traced a small circle around the Columbia River Gorge—born in The Dalles and remembered there by family who chose a plot at Odd Fellows Cemetery for her resting place. On November 7, 1989, she died in north-central Oregon; public memorial records place her death in Sherman County, just south of the river, even as community remembrances sometimes refer to neighboring Wasco County where she was born and buried. ...
