On September 18, 1995, Anthony Branch Sr., a 36-year-old African-American male, was fatally shot in his apartment located at 2025 SE Ash Street in Portland, Oregon. The incident occurred at approximately 8:25 pm when two unidentified African-American men, wearing ski masks, broke into Branch's apartment by forcing through the sliding glass doors. Once inside, the intruders shot and killed Branch.
