In the early hours of Tuesday, September 30, 2025, a fatal shooting in the St. Johns neighborhood of North Portland resulted in the death of 16-year-old Hispanic/Latino male, Alexander Montie-Lopez. The incident occurred shortly before 2:30 a.m. in the 6800 block of North Central Street, where officers from the North Precinct responded to reports of a person being shot. Upon their arrival, they discovered Montie-Lopez deceased at the scene.
