William James Frye, 28, male, was a Central Point resident who sustained a fatal, accidental, self-inflicted gunshot wound after handling a firearm at a friend’s house on the 8300 block of Division Road in White City on a Saturday evening. According to investigators with the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, early chatter that the death involved a game of Russian roulette was incorrect; detectives said the evidence did not support that rumor.
