In the early morning hours of May 24, 2019, the quiet of a Southeast Portland neighborhood was shattered by an act of violence that claimed the life of 44-year-old Sergey Peshkov, a White male. Peshkov was discovered in the front yard of a residence on Southeast Reedway Street, the victim of a fatal shooting. The Portland Police Bureau launched a homicide investigation, and it was later determined by the medical examiner that Peshkov had died from multiple gunshot wounds.
