In the quiet town of Ontario, Oregon, the evening of October 24, 2021, was shattered by the sound of multiple gunshots, leaving two men dead and a community in shock. One of the victims was Martin Esteban Navarro, a 38-year-old Hispanic male. The tragic event unfolded at the Rosewood Apartments, located at 625 Alameda Drive. When police responded to reports of gunfire at approximately 7:47 p.m., they discovered a grim scene.
Navarro's body was found alongside that of 45-year-old Christian Holman. One of the men was discovered outside an apartment, while the other lay inside. Neither of the victims resided at the apartment complex.
The investigation into the double homicide quickly pointed to a targeted attack rather than a random act of violence, according to the Malheur County District Attorney's office. Investigators believe there was a specific motive behind the killings. It was revealed that Navarro had sustained multiple gunshot wounds from a handgun.
