In the quiet neighborhood of North Tabor in Northeast Portland, the evening of January 30, 2022, was shattered by the sound of gunfire. Around 8:30 p.m., multiple 911 calls reported what was believed to be a shooting in the vicinity of Northeast Couch Street and Northeast 52nd Avenue. When officers arrived, they discovered a man who had sustained apparent gunshot wounds. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
