In a quiet, rural corner of Sheridan, Oregon, the life of 60-year-old Karen Hansen-Pieri, a White female, came to a tragic end on May 30, 2022. On that Monday evening, around 7:30 p.m., deputies from the Yamhill County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to a large, remote property in the 11000 block of Southwest Dupee Valley Road. A 911 caller had reported discovering two deceased individuals after going to the residence to check on the animals.
