In the early morning hours of February 15, 2014, the life of Heather Mari Star Riccardi, a 38-year-old Caucasian female, was tragically cut short in a Southeast Portland residence. Officers responded to a welfare check at a home on Southeast 112th Avenue after a concerned friend reported receiving a troubling text message from a man who lived there with Riccardi. Upon their arrival, law enforcement found Riccardi deceased inside the home from an apparent gunshot wound.
