In the fall of 2017, the life of 15-year-old Annieka Vaughan, a Caucasian female, was tragically cut short in what was determined to be a murder-suicide. The events leading to her death began on October 30, 2017, when she was reported to have run away from her home in Aloha, Oregon. She was believed to be in the company of 23-year-old Zachary Petersen of Pasco, Washington. The two had reportedly met that August while Vaughan was visiting her mother in Kennewick, Washington.
